First this movie is based on actual events that have happen the past 12 years.
Started out not your typical movie. It was playing sound bits of 911 calls from what happen on Sept. 11, 2001. After that it went to an interrogation scene where we meet two CIA operates Dan and the lady Maya. Well you get to see how to interrogation someone who just doesn’t want to talk. He gets to drink water, but he drinks too much at once always so he chokes on it. He gets to go in boxes, stand all day with your arms stretched out, and also gets to jam out to some hardcore rock music during breaks. What a life to live in for lying.
Maya and Dan are trying to get information from the source, but he is a fighter and a liar. Maya finds it hard to see him suffer like this, but they keep doing it. Eventually to get information they lie to him and tell him that he told them information so they feed him a good meal. While doing this they actually get more information out of him so it worked. When they are done with the guy they go to Pakistan where their base of operation is. Maya is trying to find the courier for Bin Laden. Dan and Maya go back a forth to Afgan, Pakistan, and other places interrogating sources.
They all eventually talk a little about the courier Khalid Shaikh Mohammed. They then showed them capturing another source using another source for bait. This guy denied that Khalid Shaikh Mohammed is even a person. So this led Maya to believe that he is a very important person because he was the only one to deny his existence and wants to protect him. The next scene they show a huge car bomb that goes off near a hotel where Maya was eating supper at in Pakistan.
After this the movie picks up on action and really starts the journey to the climax of killing Bin Laden, because the violence in Pakistan is really increasing. Eventually they get a lead from the Jordanians that a doctor is a mole in the Al Qaeda and the CIA wants to meet him. Well they get the source to meet them in a military base in Afgan. One of Maya’s team members, Jessica, was going to meet him there. The car pull ups to the base, but Jessica being all excited, stupid, and just not smart at all conveniences the base security guards to not search the car at the checkpoint outside the base and fellow procedure and they were going to search the car after inside. The car gets to them and the doctor comes out, but he has a cane and has a hand in his pocket. Well the security guards being spec. forces where pretty smart and they put their guns up and wanted to kill the dude right away. The sad thing is they were right should have shot him in the head right away because the “doctor” set off a car bomb and killed the stupid, idiot, overly excited CIA agent Jessica and all of the special forces people around the car.
I was pretty pissed off and sad about what just happen, and I figured that is what would happen since they let him go through. After that Maya got more pissed off at Al Qaeda especially since she just got a report from a source that the courier Khalid Shaikh Mohammed is dead and died in 2001. Eventually she gets a photo from another agent of Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, and she then realizes that they were using the wrong photo this whole time, because Khalid Shaikh Mohammed has brothers too. Eventually they discover that Khalid Shaikh Mohammed’s mom lives in Kuwait. Maya gets Dan to go there to get Khalid Shaikh Mohammed mom’s number. All it took was buying a lamborghini to someone. I guess that is good govn’t money well spent then. Using that number the CIA discovers the location of Mohammed. It took months to find him in the city using his cell phone to trace him because he didn’t have a pattern when he called. Some spec ops people finally get a picture of him in his car.
Well they find out a pretty secure building he goes to and Maya thinks Bin Laden is there. It takes months before judgement day happens and they draw up plans to attack the place. May 1, 2011 the special forces get the green light to follow through with a plan that they have been training for months. They didn’t know for sure either if Bin Laden was there at all the probability was said to be around 60%, but for Maya she knew it was 100. The choppers that they use were pretty sweet looking. When they get to the building the one chopper lands troops outside the compound and the other was going to lands some on top, but the chopper lost power and crashed landed. Everyone survive the landing and the mission was carried on.
They showed probably almost every door breach that they did, and I really liked that. They did a good job I think of how they probably took compound and what equipment they had. Every time they killed someone in the compound you knew they were pros because they double or tripled tap the dead body. Everyone knows this, but they get to the third floor and kill Bin Laden. Then they have about 10 mins to get all the intel they can get. They knew right away they killed Bin Laden. All in all I think they did a realistic time frame of how long they were there and how it may have went down. They all get back to the base and start to organize all of the intel they got, and Maya finally gets to she victory and just for GOD and COUNTRY. I really loved the movie with how realistic the explosions were, what equipment they used, and the intel trail to finding the courier. The movie made me appreciate how many people and money it took to find this evil man. I say you have to see this movie at least once because it will make you love your country even more. Merica!! Best Movie Ever!!!
