Lasik Vision Correction

I'm almost so blind they don't make my prescription in the brand of contacts I wear. It's pretty neat.
I am incredibly scared of Lasik. Like, I know I should do it. But it freaks me out.

Question of the Day

1. My teacher. And also the other kindergarten teacher who was really mean and scary... I'm sure my mom pulled her teacher strings to ensure I wasn't in that class. 2. Crying everyday because I missed my mom... Even though she taught first grade two doors down. (The guidance counselor gave me a spec...

$5 Meal Deals

New KFC box is $5, but $6 with drink. I got the Nashville Hot tender box and it was delicious. Would have been too hot on it's own for me, but with ranch it was fine. Will get again. I'm dumb and asked at the drive through how spicy it was. "ummm...it depends?". This just in: Tyler has a ...

2018 Celebrity Crushes

I probably should have posted here and not in the Black Panther thread. So here goes...

Michael B Jordan. Drool, drool, all the drool.

Tyler and I always have crushes on the same men. It's kind of weird.

Black Panther (2018)

I just came here to say that Michael B Jordan might be one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

And I liked the movie and stuff.

K bye!

School

This topic keeps me up at night, and I'm not sure that I can adequately speak on my opinions of each facet of it without getting on my soapbox a little bit too much. But I can say this: The argument that teachers should be armed might actually be the most asinine thing I have ever heard. Like, it ac...

Reoccurring Dreams

I always have the dream that I am back in college, signed up for a class, and forgot to go all semester. I usually remember halfway through and think about going, then keep forgetting. Cue grovelling for a chance to make up the work. Then not being able to graduate on time. Probably has to do with b...

Naps

Oh, your girl can nap.
I'm not even certain that I really need one, but I like to relax/lay down when Evie is asleep, and that often leads to falling asleep.

Best and worst jobs

I don't feel that I'm far enough into my time in this position to definitively declare that it is better than my previous job. I love this job for many reasons: I get to problem solve and be creative, I am learning a TON, I have to push myself out of my comfort zone, I am challenged (in a good way)....

Little Evil | Netflix | Adam Scott, Evangeline Lilly

Guys, I was scared.
Al and all of the dumb parenting jokes made me lol. So many artsy fartsy transitions... Which were almost distracting. It wasn't bad, but also wasn't good.

Question of the Day

I missed the 90's one!! Mine is far and away 3 Ninjas. I have seen that movie an absurd amount of times. I would rent it every time we went to the rental store (and Monkey Trouble... That was my jam, too). It still makes me laugh. Can't wait to make Evie watch it with me. Rocky loves Emily. Rocky lo...

I agree with Bridesmaids. Just never really got the obsession... Wasn't bad, but I wasn't obsessed.

Favorite Disney movie: Beauty and the Beast. I could probably recite that movie by heart.

Favorite Pixar movie: probably Inside Out?! All the Toy Story movies are great, so it is hard to pick one.

Update on Reese.

We have had kids in our district that have aids with the FM transmitter/receiver technology. It becomes part of the teacher's routine very easily... and it is so awesome how accessible it makes all of the learning for a kiddo with hearing loss! The video of her signing what she wants to be when she ...

New White-Owned ‘Hip-Hop’ Restaurant Has Both Asian And Black People Outraged

The phrase actually came to popularity in the movie Full Metal Jacket, when a couple of Vietnamese prostitutes say it to try to entice American soldiers (I think...? Something along those lines). Then it was sampled by 2 Live Crew. I've heard some people are upset with the fact that it was originall...

Chris Wagner - rugby question. (kind of)

Well, on our teacher teams it is probably a 10:1 ratio women:men, or something like that. But on our administrative team it is probably closer to an equal amount of men and women, because there are so many female coaches. He has had both sets of teams watch that video multiple times... I remember th...

Chris Wagner - rugby question. (kind of)

He is also making us read a book about the best teams in sports history from around the world, and the All Blacks are the only team on there twice (80s team, 00s team). The book described in great detail how the team's captain, Buck Shelford, got spiked in the groin during a 1986 match against Franc...
