Re: Dark Knight Rises

Yeah, they could have shown that it took him 3 months to get back to Gotham city but probably woyld have added 20 minutes to the film. What is weird is they had the scene where Bane takes him to thr prison after beating him up then hes back in Gotham again. Must have transported! As for the stock ex...

Re: Ted

If you like Family guy humor, this movie is for you. What is family guy humor? A little low brow but generally witty if you get the inside jokes.

Re: Dark Knight Rises

Just saw it. Was pretty awesome overall although it was a little weak how easy it was for Batman to defeat the Bane character by damaging the mask. A couple of other oddities. Why did the final battle at city hall devolve into a street fight when the bad guys had automatic weapons and Batman's stole...

Re: Snow White and the Huntsman?

Battle sequences were not bad. Story line was a little cringe worthy.... Should have had James earl Jones do the voice of the mirror ala Darth Vadar.

Re: Snow White and the Huntsman?

I heard one of the criticism of the dwarfs was they were regular people shrunk down digitally. Well Ian mcshane is a regular actor.

But They did it well that I didn't notice. It was a little less seamless in lord of the rings.

Snow White and the Huntsman?

Latest movie I've seen a couple of weeks ago. Sticker shock, cost me 13.50 per ticket for non 3d movie here in NYC. At that price, skip the popcorn.... Anyhoo, the visuals for the movie were well done along with the action scenes. Charlize Theron was not bad as the evil queen. Don't know if she'll g...

Re: Season 2 Finale: Valar Morghulis

Well if they are going to change the stories around, maybe they will come up with new material and perhaps give some people a happier ending than they got in the book. Gendry doesn't really factor into books 3,4 and 5. There are also atleast 3 more of Roberts children floating about in the book. Sen...

Re: Season 2 Finale: Valar Morghulis

They definitely had elements from book 3 in the final episode. So in the next season they will be more based on the book rather than exactly following the book. They've changed a few details and eliminated or condensed some of the storylines arcs. I am a little disappointed they didn't show the fina...

Re: Season 2 Finale: Valar Morghulis

They've got several story arcs to tie up. Hope they can do it in one episode.

Re: Hatfields and McCoys

I agree, overall it was a good mini series. I thought Kevin costner had a good performance. I wonder how much of that is true but the scene where he muses to his wife about how things would have turned out if he let his son marry roseanna was touching. Kind of makes you think of the consequences of ...

Re: s2e9 Blackwater

I mean it's not explained very well why Sansa doesn't just leave with the hound. He could protect her. The scene was just. A little lacking to me. Actually the end scene with cersei and tommen in the throne room waiting to kill themselves was well done. Pretty thrilling to see who would emerge from ...

Re: s2e9 Blackwater

The hound is not a bad guy. But in the end, he turns craven because he just doesn't like the fire. In the book, the fire created by the wildfire and ships is intense and closer to shore. Also that scene is more at the climax of the battle than the beginning. It was supposed to show what a genius Tyr...

Re: s2e9 Blackwater

Glad they finally showed some action.

Also, most of Cersei's dialog with Sansa was straight from the book.

Re: s2e8 The Prince of Winterfell

Hope they show the battle. It should be epic.

A little disappointed they are glossing over some of the storylines. They are glossing over some events needed for book 3. After watching the series, read the book and you will be surprised.

It's morphing into it's own story now. They have changed the details and little. Maybe they will include elements from book 3.

Re: Crackle

I checked out the crackle application for Android and seems to work okay. Hopefully they will get more content. I don't mind the ads so much. It's free tv and they need to pay the bills. Watched an old Seinfeld episode. Related to that, there are a couple of apps to give you free anime and Asian dra...

He actually does have a soft spot for Sansa. Supposed to be part of the character development. Not everyone is completely bad once you learn their backstory. Makes you wonder if he will save Sansa in the end or not. Just going to say that the show is deviating away from the books now. I am a little ...

Re: s2e4 Garden of Bones

Funny thing is the beating scene is not in the book. Just a scene tossed in by hbo. Actually the red haired prostitute doesn't play a prominent role in the book at all so all scenes with here is pure hbo. He is twisted but in the book, it's mostly relegated to him ordering his kingsguard to beat and...

Re: s2e4 Garden of Bones

What's funny about that is that the actors that played Stark and Drogo did all the promo interviews for the show so you thought they would be around a little longer. I was also hoping Stark would get saved. Pretty shocking end to season 1. Guess that's the sign of good writing when you care enough f...
