Naps

I'm really good at falling asleep early while watching a show or movie, but afternoon naps are rare. I also have to be very tired to actually fall asleep. Most times when I try I just end up laying there then get up because there's something to do.

Instant Pot

I've been thinking about buying one but not sure how much I'd need this vs other tools we already own. I guess I could just donate one of the crockpots to make room for this gadget [emoji847]

This Is Us (aka Thisisus so you can find it in search)

It's gonna be another emotional season! I'm really excited about the adoption storyline between Randall and Beth. Similar to how Parenthood brought in adoption of kids beyond babies, but with their family dynamic and having 2 girls it will be still something different.

Will & Grace Revival Ordered for 10 Episodes

Yeah I remember the Matt Damon episode- so good! I'm excited to see who they bring on. I'll make sure this is on the DVR.

Best and worst jobs

I worked at a Girl Scouts Camp as an Assistant Cook during the summer from soph-jr year of college. While it was great experience working in a commercial kitchen and helped me later get an internship, it was such an awful summer. Worked from 5:30a-7pmish, with a short break in the afternoon and got ...

Horror movies

I'm pretty whimsy when it comes to horror movies, but a few that I've been able to (mostly) watch and like are: What Lies Beneath- Scary mode Harrison Ford The Shining- classic! Halloween and Friday the 13th- I group these together since they have the same premise, but I think Freddy Krueger is scar...

I liked the idea of doing an Insta account for Fran and created one when we first got her but haven't posted in it for a while. I don't often post in my own Insta though, either. @franbarkenton [emoji458][emoji12]

A Bad Moms Christmas

"Bad Moms" was funnier than I thought it was going to be! This looks pretty good, too.

Amazon: We're lowering Whole Foods prices on Monday.

The salmon and organic Fuji apples prices sound more competitive but not enough to draw me in. The other prices are still higher than Fresh Thyme, which has been my new favorite for affordable organic/specialty groceries. I wonder what other strategies they'll use to try to beat out the grocery comp...

I hate to be difficult but I'm still on calls until 8:15ish CST on Tuesdays. I can have Chris draft for me though if the earlier time works well for others.

The last non-fiction I read that comes to mind is "In Defense of Food" by Michael Pollan. Good read for fellow food nerds!

Joker and Harley Quinn Movie Coming from 'Crazy Stupid Love' Filmmakers

I don't know who these characters are but I like "This is Us" and "Crazy Stupid Love" so I may give it a chance. Both of these through have the tug on the heart strings traits that border on too cheesy but I still like it anyways.

Breakfast

Haha oh Tyler you and those PopTarts. My weekday breakfast is pretty simple- oatmeal with plain Greek yogurt on top or a slice of PB toast. With coffee, duh.

I love doing homemade, hearty pancakes or eggs on the weekend. French Toast is another fun weekend breakfast that I should make more often.

Dang these numbers are all so crazy. I heard David Letterman and Shonda Rhimes are coming over to Netflix, so those will have big salaries alone. How do they make enough money?!

If you had the chance to be a movie tester, would you do it?

I think it'd be fun for a while. I don't have the most patience (or ability to stay awake) for movies I'm not interested in, though. It'd be cool to see more of the "raw footage."

Wedding shtuff

I remember at first being so busy at the start. We booked our venue about a year out, followed closely by the photographer and band. There is a definite lull period then madness after invites go out. My future advice is to make the return date even earlier than you'd want. I set ours for Sept 1 (dat...
