We just got the Ecovacs Deebot N79S. It's basically the N79 + a power suction mode and it supports Alexa (we won't use that feature though because we are a Google Assistant house). I don't like the Nest version because of that reason. At least with the Ecobee remote sensors, they have presence sensors as well so it can decide which areas to keep at the desired temps. That still doesn't make sense to me unless those rooms had control of the airflow. Maybe I'm not fully underst...

Nest has temp sensors now https://www.engadget.com/2018/05/03/nests-temperature-sensor-is-now-available-for-39/ Already got one. Overnight shipping from nest.com was free. Set it up yesterday. Just contacted Nest support via chat. The guy told me the install kit comes with a wedge that gives it 15 degree tilt. I'm still not convinced that will be enough...

I think I'm just going to get a nest hello doorbell and that should be sufficient for me external camera needs. Figuring out how to wire those outdoor cameras sounds like too much work.
