Re: Taxes

That time of year. I'm officially my dad. I bought a physical CD copy of TurboTax from Target. It was on sale and red card gives you more discount.

Re: Question of the Day

I'm amazed that you both are alive to talk about this. Am I a good or bad husband for turning off the car while my wife and kid freeze inside of it?

Not sure about the 2nd game, but the first one says 3. I will have to check out the demo. I would do the first one in 11 days depending on price and if I was too scared or not

HTC Announces Vive Pro and Vive Wireless Adapters

The VR podcast I listen to has 4 hosts. 3 of the sold their Vives when they caught wind of the Pro model coming out Q1. They wanted to sell before the market was flooded with used ones. Turns out HTC is ONLY releasing the headset Q1, with the full bundle coming Q3ish. LOL at the hosts selling all th...

John Wick 3

Common being alive makes sense, Wick flat out told him he was leaving the knife in him so he could live. I wouldn't be surprised if Common teams up with him this movie instead of being the villain.

Ruby Rose living makes no sense at all.

Jump Scare Scenes Without Jump Scare Sound Effects

On the rare occasion I watch horror movies at home I usually mute them when I sense a jumpscare coming. Without the sound a lot of the time it doesn't work, but that Insidious clip was just as terrifying and I knew it was coming.

The Last Man On Earth (Fox)

I think we are 1 or 2 behind, but watched the Fred Armisen episode the other night. I thought it was way better than the stand-alone Wiig episode we got last year. It was honestly probably one of the darkest episodes of the show, while still being hilarious. I'm excited to see where the show takes h...

Have you ever gotten gas without turning off your car?
Heck no! I don't want to explode. I saw on FB an old coworker said he never turns it off, especially not in the winter.

Re: The Toys That Made Us | Netflix

Watching the GI Joe one now. They had to cut cost and remove 10% of every character. Instead they decided to just cut almost all of the details/color out of one character... Snake Eyes. The black ninja dude. I don't remember GI Joe making Kenner sized toys either. I only know of them as foot tall to...

I "think" you can, but I didn't test that. I assume it could know where you left off in a series too.

Re: Computers and PC parts

Damn! You got a deal at $54. I would buy one if I saw it at that price. I'm sure the speed increase wouldn't even be noticed, especially compared to going from HDD to SSD.

Good call on single 8gb. Will be much cheaper to just get another single 8gb this year.

SSD prices are higher now than they were a year ago? I thought that was the only thing going down now.

DDR4 is insane! Would be like $200 to get 16gb. Do you have 2x4gb or 1x8gb? How many slots do you have?

My dad loves this game and it is his go-to to demo to people. My dad brings his 60 year old coworkers over for lunch so they can play during the noon hour. I'm beating him in 2 of the 3 modes, but he is completely dominating me in Arcade. I tried taking him tonight but couldn't. I'll give him he ben...

Google Home (previously: Google's October 4th Event)

We are a Roku family, but I hooked up a free Chromecast I had in a drawer to the downstairs 2nd input. It's pretty sweet to ask Google Home to play something on Youtube and it starts within seconds on the TV. I mostly wanted to do this so we could play music videos for Evie and use the surround sound.

I finally beat this. I really enjoyed the visuals, mechanics, and story. I constantly got lost in the gameplay and forgot where I was in the room. The game was repetitive at times though and very frustrating at the parts I kept dying at. I recommend everyone play it, but I would totally get it if pe...

Re: Computers and PC parts

That's a really good point. You can get the Xbox One X, capable of 4k 60fps, for less than a GTX 1080, maybe even 1070. It use to be always cheaper to build your own, but I've seen some pretty tempting prebuilt options show up on Slickdeals. Problem with those is they are usually budget motherboard ...
