Since this season is surpassing the books, do you see yourself being excited for the first time in the show or are you going to be mad that the show is now spoiling the book?

The show is already different enough from the book that I don't think either one really spoils the other. Before this season, I would generally know what would happen but the show leaves out so many characters and story lines that I don't think it will spoil the future books.

I agree. This is my first season post books, and since the stories are now different, I don't think it makes me angry. If anything, I find myself excited to see what they do with the information from the book, and where the book will take the new plot lines from the show in a different direction.

You guys must not be book purist. I've heard a lot of book people who are mad at the show and Martin.

You mean we're not assholes who can't enjoy two interpretations of the same story in different mediums?

Right. I was being sarcastic. It's silly people are mad at the show for passing the books.

Right. People have too much time on their hands.
