Gotcha. Ice Dragons are their own separate thing and we are assuming they are extinct since there has been no mention of them in the show

I like the theory that the Knight King is going to put on a blonde wig and ride his new dragon to King's Landing and burn some stuff down. He just wants people to think Dany is a real SoB.

I think the main point is that if they were to make the wight-dragon breathe ice, it would go against the established parameters of what being a wight means. As of now, the rules are "you are a living thing (human, giant, horse, bear, etc), you get killed and become a dead thing (human, giant, horse, bear, etc), a White Walker turns you into a wight, you're still your original thing (human, giant, horse, bear, etc) with no new abilities but now under the control of the White Walkers." Viserion being able to breathe ice instead of fire would change that formula.

It's what the wights actually used to pull the dragon out of the lake.

*wights struggling to pull dragon out of ice lake*
*truck pulls up*
*Mustachioed man in coveralls rolls down window*
"You boys need a hand?*
*Hooks up chains to truck*
*Voiceover guy*
"That's the power for the Ferd F-teenthousand"

Perfect truck commercial

What if it's a White Dragon instead of a wight dragon. Imbued with supernatural White Walker powers.

Then he can turn other things into wights and throw an ice javelin really well!

Lol at Ford truck.

White Dragon is bad news. The Night King touches the babies to turn them into Whites in the earlier seasons. At Hardhome he only had to raise his hands to turn the dead to wights. Maybe the dragon is White and can turn others just by touching?

That's actually a good point, maybe it is a White Dragon.
