The Leftovers on HBO

It seems criminal that Season 2 isn't on the "all time" list, but I understand the show is very hit or miss.

302 wasn't as exciting as the season opener, but it was still just as captivating.

I'm glad Lily isn't dead and wasn't kidnapped. It makes total sense that a teenager who gave up her baby would feel bad about it 4 years later and would seek out the child's location and ask for custody back. Big of Norah not to fight it and give Lily back to her birth mother.

We also get to see that Erika didnt run away or do anything crazy. Again, makes total sense that her and John couldn't see eye to eye after their daughter's death and they got a divorce and she moved out of town. I couldn't get a sense of where she was living now. Somewhere between St. Louis, Kentucky, and Texas.

We learned more about Kevin's suffocation ritual. He isn't killing himself just to return to the hotel and is stopping every time at the last second. I really like that Nora didn't scream or question it. She use to hire escorts to shoot her in the chest while she wore a bullet proof vest. She can 100% relate to doing dangerous things just to feel alive. It's sad though that they both can tell each other they are happy after just witnessing that and after Nora broke her arm just to hide a tattoo.

I really liked Nora busting Kevin's balls constantly about being the second coming of Jesus. "If we can't have a sense of humor about your being the messiah, we're going to have a problem."

Plot twist. Last week's episode wasn't Old Nora, it was Radiation Nora. But seriously, what did those testimonials prove? It was just people saying they were willing to be zapped, it didn't show anything actually happening.

I was watching the episode with Corey and Feddersen. Corey said the opening credit song seemed like it was from a sitcom. It was from Perfect Strangers. I read they are doing a different song for every episode this season.

In the words of The Man Show, "and now women jumping on trampolines."

Thoughts on the Australia stuff
"And he looked at them and raised his hand, but they did not wave in response and so he raised the stone to his chest and jumped into the water" in reference to Kevin sleepwalk-waving at Evie the night the girls went missing last season.

It is October 15th in Australia because they are a day ahead of us.

Is Michael publishing The Book of Kevin online? Did these Australian women read it and then found a police chief named Kevin hoping it was our Kevin Garvey?

The show runners used the Wu Tang Clan name generator for their names in the credits. That's fun.

I will start typing up some stuff after tonight's episode. I've really enjoyed this season, especially with the unexpected humor like the dog stealing the pb sandwich. Bald move has some helpful insights too.
