I do not consider myself an anime fan either, but I loved this alot. After it, I liked the guy who played the main guys voice well enough that I found some more work that he did (Bryce Pappenbrook), for Sword Art Online.

That show has a crazy good premise, and the first half is very good, and then the last quarter. Really enjoyed it. Will be watching season 2 soon.

Also saw a reddit post for top 100 anime movies of all time, found about six I enjoyed, so added to queue.

I doubt I watch season 2. I wasn't in love with it like Wilkins and Crckjack.

I like the story, but I don't like the format of anime.
20 minute episode
First 8 minutes is a recap of the previous episode.

I had to watch on my computer for that reason. It usually started at exactly the same time, so click at that start time, watch. Turn off early. I saved literally decades off my life doing that.

Really depends on the anime for the filler/recap bullshit.

It was good! New characters introduced, and didn't focus on the old ones yet. Talks about the blue rose wall falling and a new group of titans, headed by a furry titan that is highly intelligent and about twice as big as the rest. Interesting dynamic.

This show is nuts this season. The season has only 12 episodes, so the plot isn't stretched as thin. Lots of awesome fight scenes and way more titan drama/new types of titans.

Season 2 was awesome. Was hoping for some more story and advance on the "what are titans and are we ever going to be able to defeat them?" In the end we learned two small snippits, one of which I figured was the truth from like the first episode and that there are more titans amongst the surviving humans than originally thought.

I guess in true attack on titan fashion we are left with more questions than answers at the end of the season.

The third season is a completely different dynamic. The main guard is finding the scouts and hunting them down to hide the secret of the wall, so not a single titan so far this season.

The season is set up differently as well. Not as much recap or 'next time on', and the episode truly fills the full 25 minutes. Animation seems more mature, and it just has a great feel to the whole thing.

I'm halfway through episode 2 and the fight scenes between the scouts and KENNY are great.

You put this in here because I was just complaining about it the other day. I hated that about the show.
