Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (Netflix Original)

Postby Tyler » Mon Mar 23, 2015 8:06 am

Just had this recommended by a friend, will check it out.
Tina Fey wrote/produced. Stars the actress who plays Erin in The Office.

Rescued after 15 years in a cult, Kimmy Schmidt decides to reclaim her life by venturing to New York, where she experiences everyday life with wide-eyed enthusiasm. On a whim, she rents a room from Titus, a gay wannabe Broadway actor, who makes ends meet as a street performer in Times Square. The unlikely pair find they're well-suited to help each other out, with Titus reintroducing Kimmy to modern life, and her providing him with the inspiration that you should never give up. Together they'll make it through whatever life throws at them.

No problem Blake.

We watched the pilot tonight. It was cute and had it's moments, will watch more. Only 12 episodes at sub 30 mins...won't take long to fly through these

Brittany dominated this show. I lost interest.

Its funny but confusing because it has some really funny moments and then a lot of moments that just whiff.

I hated the first episode. I could see where things should be funny, but it fell flat for me. No more.

Was on the fence about this show until episode 3. 3rd episode had the rich blonde girl as a Native American which was hilarious. Episode 4 with Martin Short was also good. Based on IMDB episode 1/2 are the weakest ranked so things can only get better.

Finished over the weekend. Entire show was hit or miss for me. The court stuff was very frustrating for me because people are just too dumb.

Parks and Rec played the line between dumb/smart better I thought. That town was full of idiots, but there were also some rational people around. No one in Kimmy has a brain in their heads. The character of her dad is just too much.

I felt exactly the same way except I bowed out around 7th episode and watched some of it in between other stuff. Let Brittany watch it on her own. She liked it I think.

It's funny that Kimmy would be clueless about everything because she was locked up half her life, but everyone in the show is beyond incompetent

So Tyler and I talked about this. Season 1 was fine. A moment here and there.

HOWEVER, Season 2 so far has been HILARIOUS. I can't believe that I'm actually laughing out loud this season. Give it a shot. The wife and I agree that this season is significantly funnier.

Maybe I'm in the minority but so far in this season, I think the first was much better

Ah snap! Who do I trust now?!

IMDB has season 2 episodes listed higher than most of season 1

I'm only 3 in so maybe it'll get better or I'm in the minority for this season
