You must be excited, did anyone else here watch season 1?

I have not watched it. I've heard good things but I just don't have enough time to watch all these shows.

I watch this. Due to football, I haven't started season 2. But the first season is amazing, extremely well done. Gripping, action packed, I thought it was better than Cats.
Re: Narcos (Netflix)
Watched the pilot tonight. About 2/3 is Spanish speaking with subtitles. The story starts off later than I would have guessed and the pilot covers more than I expected. Pablo is already one of the best smugglers when things start and the pilot ends with him being very powerful and Miami being ruined by cocaine

Watched s01e02 last night. Show is way more intense/violent than I would have guessed. I admit I didn't know a lot about Pablo, but he is a savage (as are the police who are fighting him).

Its before your time... they used to commercials for movies where they interviewed theater goers after watching the movie. One time a guy flat expression said the movie was better than Cats - the broadway musical.

'Narcos' Star Pedro Pascal Says Show Can't Continue if Cast and Crew Aren't Protected
We got Pedro -- who plays DEA agent Javier Peña -- out at LAX Sunday and asked about the respected location scout who was murdered in an area near Hidalgo.
As we reported ... Carlos Muñoz Portal's body was found earlier this month riddled with bullets. Muñoz was scouting in Mexico for season 4 ... where Peña zeroes in on the Mexican drug cartels.
From Reddit:
They are creeping ever closer into more recent territory with this show.
Escobar was the 80s, ancient history by now, no real risk.
Cali Cartel was the 90s, risky enough that one of the main characters is still in Witness Protection, but not so risky they cant go snooping around Cali.
But Juarez, the Mexican drug cartels, that shit is peaking right now. They aren't making a show about how a past cartel died anymore, now they're making one about how a current cartel was born. And it is one of the most dangerous cartels out there. This is a different ballgame.
If their crews, all of them, are not constantly supervised by enough armed guards to at least scare off a small cartel patrol, they are endangering the lives of not just the cast and stars we love, but the crew that makes this show so awesome.

I had no idea that Esobar wasn't the villain throughout the series, but we only watched a couple of episodes. Is his storyline wrapped up by the end of season 1?
