Sarah is watching it without me. I'll probably watch it some time next week when football isn't on.

Make her post about it. Early reviews are that it's better than Daredevil?!

Episode three. I like it. It seems to be right after the avengers but before the second?

Should finish by tomorrow night, it's taken some weird turns and I'm back and forth on how much I like it but it's good. Kilgrave is ruthless but not at the same time...I was expecting a more cruel and devilish persona like in the comics--still makes some crazy shit happen

Finished. Looking forward to Marvels next series...love how independent this was from Daredevil. I had my doubts about the story keeping up in quality over 13 episodes but it worked pretty well. Kilgrave is one sick bastard!

Time to watch the Easter egg video!!!

What's your immediate thoughts on it being better or not as good as Daredevil?

I liked Daredevil better but Jessica Jones probably had a better story and had a lot more darker stuff going on. Daredevil was definitely darker visually though

I'm just about done. Daredevil was better, but like he said, Jessica story is better

I'll hopefully talk Jocelyn into watching it over winter break when all shows are on hiatus.

You'll like it a lot. I quit a lot of shows to binge 13 in a week.

Just watched the pilot. Wow, what a dark show. Even crazier when you remember this is a Disney property. I thought I read somewhere that this was the first Disney thing ever to feature sex? And they showed it twice in the pilot!

I'm surprised to see this only has an 8.5 on IMDB. Daredevil started at 9+ but settled at 8.8. I thought JJ would be closer to that number. Don't get me wrong. 8.5 is better than 90% of stuff on TV, but I thought it would be a bit higher.

I hope to watch episode 2 tonight. I am already into the story. I have some background on the character, but Jocelyn has none. I think she liked the pilot as well.

I'm surprised its not higher as well. It was very well done, and the main villain is a dark manipulative mother f2@#$@$#

Watched episode 2. David Tennet as Kilgrave has a bigger role. He put those poor kids in the closet :(

Also learned that Luke Cage has powers and that JJ was stalking him because she inadvertently got his lover (or sister?) killed.

This show has some intense scenes. Like when the guy who had the stroke writes "kil" and it turns out to be "kill me", not " Kilgrave"

Also see Trish is taking self defense class. Is it just to defend herself or to become a vigilante? Hope we learn more about why Trish and JJ are friends.

Also made progress on Hope's case. She has a lawyer and people are starting to believe the story.

Hopes story at the beginning of the show was fun--did not see that happening with her after Jessica found her.

Without really giving spoilers away, most the characters in this have their own marvel comic universe counterpart. They weren't all in the Alias series specifically but they weren't made up for the show. Trish is one of those characters ;) Her role as close friend of JJ , however, was Captain Marvel AKA Carol Danvers' in the comic books. When JJ was originally called AKA Jessica Jones and set to air on ABC, Carol's role was in the script....it was later rewritten to have Trish in it when the series moved to Netflix and a Captain Marvel movie was announced
