We will start it tomorrow night probably. Binged on Jessica Jones so we could start it.

Watched episode 2 tonight. I looked it up online and apparently Anonymous is supposed to be releasing evidence that Avery was framed in the murder.

Had to scroll through this thread so I didn't read spoilers. I'll stick to this format since it worked for me in JJ.

Such an interesting story so far. Can't believe the corruption at the Sheriff and DA (at least how the show is framing it). A couple of people dislike you so they are willing to look the other way and send you to prison and let a rapist go free.

The sketch artist guy was delusional for framing that picture...a picture that he drew based on photograph, not a description.

I would be in trouble with the wife if I missed Evie's birth because I was in jail for setting a cat on fire. Speaking of wife, that was sad reading the letters back and forth to each other. I hope the kids grew up to be normal and well educated.

Lastly...this has been being filmed for 10 years, did Netflix actually start the project or just bought the rights to it once it was finished?

I had read that the film makers didn't know how they were eventually going to release the story and then Netflix came to the surface and they thought it was the perfect outlet so they pitched it. So, not originally Netflix.

That makes sense. Was it a completed season by then or did Netflix help film/produce/edit parts of it?

This wasn't the original article I had read, but pretty much covers it. It sounds on the last question like Netflix did help edit the material they had. Sounds like they cut three episodes and took the outline of the series to Netflix to show them what it had the potential to be.

Edit: messed up the quote thing. Derp

First half of the episode was everyone saying "I dont have a memory of saying that". And pretty much proving Avery was screwed multiple times.
And then like 3 days later that girl goes missing after seeing Avery?! And evidence found at his house! Wow. Crazy

Steven won $400,000 from the county for being locked away for a crime he didn't commit. He can now afford good lawyers.
A cop who wasn't suppose to be in the trailer found the key after another cop said it wasn't there.
Steven's 16 year old nephew claims he was forced to rape and murder Teresa becsuse his uncle made him do it.
I feel bad for how uneducated these people are and how the cops are manipulating the kid.

4 episodes in finally some good news about the case!

Then immediately ruined in episode 5 by fucking terrible judge and DA.

Finished first 8. Couldn't help myself I had to read about the case. A lot more questions than answers really. I no longer feel as terrible about the outcome however.

Just starting. I feel so bad for Brendan. He clearly has no idea what is going on or the trouble he got himself into. He's worried about missing Wrestle Mania on the TV. Both him and his mom don't know what the word "inconsistent" mean. He doesn't know if he likes his lawyer, but was happy to hear they both liked cats. How can a judge not see he was manipulated by the police?

Steven's blood was stolen?!?! It's crazy how all the cops from 20 years ago are in now postions of power against him

I also really like Steven's lawyers. They feel bad for Branden and that they can't help

Court started. The state lawyer is a slimeball. How was Bobby able to claim he said something that his friend said, with written evidence, and say it happened at the crime, not days later. This judge seems so corrupt.

Episode ended with a recording of a cop calling in a missing vehicle, implying that he found it, 2 days before it was reported to be found.

All about the bullet fragment so far. It magically showed up 4 months after initial inspection. Blood work lady seems shady. So many things wrong with her story and the phone call from the detective "put Teresa in the garage"
