Wrecked on TBS

This show is absolutely hilarious. I had twenty minutes to kill last night and decided to watch the pilot for this. I'm so happy I did. I was laughing my ass off for the whole thing. Decided to watch the second. Laughed even harder.

The show is so stupid, I can't even describe it, but its done in a very clever way, so the jokes aren't forced. I want to spoil jokes for you, but I won't.

Please watch this. It reminds me of a less blunt Wet Hot American Summer.

Wrecked on TBS

Is this the first time someone has mentioned TBS here?

I just read the synopsis and this is a completely different show than I thought it was. I will give this a shot.
After a plane crashes on a remote island, two best friends, and a diverse group of survivors cope with dangerous threats (many of which they cause). The two best friends, Danny and Owen, have a chance to redeem their mediocre lives by becoming leaders of this new society.

For some reason when I heard TBS and new comedy I was thinking it was this...

I've seen a lot of commercials for this and it does look pretty funny. I haven't taken the time to watch it though.

We watched the pilot. We both laughed during it, but I wouldn't say more than we do during a Fox comedy. I knew as soon as the British guy was introduced he would be killed in a hilarious fashion. I'm surprised he was responsible for his own death and not someone else

The lead got the job because they were looking for a "Ryan Reynolds type", right?

Probably. The second episode is funnier, if only for the after episode little banter thing

Episode 2 had some funny parts too, I don't think I am enjoying it as much as cwilkins. I am sure we will watch the 3rd, but I wouldn't care if we didn't.

Most comedies work for me because there is one lovable idiot (Jake in B99, Tandy in Last Man on Earth). This show is trying to make every character the lovable idiot (expect for Todd, he is awful), they literally killed off the only smart character in the first episode.

Haha. That actor is funny. He's the band manager on Flight of the Conchords

We are still watching this. Show is not hilarious, but it is something to have on in the background. It usually gets a couple of laughs out of me.
Todd is probably the worst character on TV, but he makes me laugh and I am ashamed of it. He is just so stupid.

I noticed the Poor Man's Ryan Reynolds wasn't in the last episode at all.

I still like this show. It's not as funny to me as the first two episodes were, but its a dumb filler until Last Man on Earth/Broad City come back.

I feel like if Phil Dunphy was the dad in THe Detour it would be magical.

Season 1 was short, only 10 episodes. The show was funnier than it had any right to be and we will watch season 2 because of that.

Think the sick girl who floated off to sea is really dead? Maybe she will be on the pirate boat? Everyone knew they would end up being pirates, right?

RIP Turdhole.

Wow... one of the best bits of the season was around her. When Todd and ...ermm... Blond Girl were on the raft debating who was the worst person
"you left your girlfriend on the island"
"I left her alive at least. you let your friend float off to sea to die"
"your girlfriend was probably killed as soon as you left"
"doubtful, we know for sure your friend is dead"

This came back. I admit this show is funnier than it has any right to be. It is so incredibly dumb, but sometimes it is fun to watch dumb people do and say dumb things.

Todd continues to be a horrible person, and I love it.

"Like that time we were both wrongly accused of murder". They do a very good job at running gags.

I'm not a murderer, I'm a hero, I killed a Nazi.
No, you killed an innocent man who happened to be a Nazi. It's not the same thing.
I'm a war hero!
