Marvel's The Inhumans will be an ABC show and an IMAX film

Postby Blue Jackets » Tue Nov 15, 2016 7:38 am

Marvel Television announced an innovative agreement to exclusively premiere the new ABC series “Marvel’s The Inhumans” in IMAX commercial theatres, marking the first time a live-action television series has debuted in this manner.

Under the agreement, a version of the first two episodes of Marvel Television’s new series “Marvel’s The Inhumans”--produced in conjunction with ABC Studios and filmed entirely with IMAX digital cameras--will run worldwide exclusively in IMAX for two weeks at the beginning of September 2017. ABC plans to then premiere the weekly series in fall, with additional exclusive content that can only be seen on the network.

They know that. That's why they're doing it this way so you'll see the movie and they'll have an ending that makes you want...no, NEED to keep watching.

I don't remember why I said that... I'll probably watch DD season 3 and JJ season 2, but nothing else. DC shows on CW start strong, but then go downhill. I heard they are getting good again tho.

This looks interesting. Because its by itself, and not super involved in a universe...to start? (idk anything), it'll be okay.

Season 1 has a solid 0% on RT with 10 reviews. 3.8/10 average
The Imax pilot flopped over the weekend. Showed in 400 screens and made $1.5m

Assuming $15 for an Imax ticket. That's 100,000 people who saw it. Over 400 screens. 250 per screen over 3 days. Assuming at least 9 showings. Less than 30 per showing. Yeah, that is low.

If the guy who wrote iron fist did this, then I'm not surprised.
