I saw 1 episode because it was showing on our plane on the way to Mexico. Seemed like it had potential to be good but I didn't keep watching.

Thanks for making a thread BJ (tee-hee). I was looking to write something up, but hitting to make a new thread stopped me entirely.

This show is hilarious. It is funny enough, but not over the top, laugh track kind of sitcom funny. Essentially Kristen Bell is back to being a total babe (unrelated to the show), and she ends up in a place called 'The Good Place', which is essentially heaven. It is only given to like the top 1% of the 1% of total good people.

The ratings are based off really important decisions like. Have you ever been a DJ? How many times have you honked your horn? Do you listen to U2? The real important stuff.

Anyway, instead of being in the millions or billions of points, she is like negative billions for just being an overall shitty person. She figures out pretty quick that she sucks and shouldn't be there and confides with her 'soul-mate'. He is a goody two-shoes and earned his way into the good place naturally, but now he realizes that his true soul mate has been switched with crappy Kristen Bell.

Natural disasters start happening to the neighborhood, which she realizes she caused. So she talks to her soul-mate about teaching her ethics, hoping she could lie long enough to pass off for a real one.

Plot happens, etc, and each episode was funny, and its just a nice 22 min comedy to watch. The last episode though, woah. They made a huuge twist, that if you've read any headlines about, has been nothing less than 'extremely bold'. I'm very surprised they did what they did, and Ted Dansen made it believable the whole way through.

You should watch it. It's not much of a time committment, but this is one of the better comedies on TV.

Thanks for the write-up! I'll check out the pilot, which I think was actually 2 episodes.

It's nice to have someone on CPT that is always 180 degrees from our opinions.

We started this last night. The 2 part pilot was good enough I thought. It had same lolz moments. Not as funny as a comedy central or FX show, but it was cute. Biggest laugh was when Ted Danson kicked the dog into the sun.

We are still watching s01 on and off. It's a good show, but I'm still not hooked. If we didn't finish it I wouldn't feel like I was missing anything.

Totally understand why the show is so popular tho. Very cute.

We finished season one. I really enjoyed it. Janet is fantastic and I liked the overall concept. It played out very well and wasn't ruined over the rest of the story

I'm not completely sold on season 2 yet. I don't know how many times they can do that.

I still think this show is hilarious and I'm happy it has a second season.
