Legion - FX - Marvel

Started last night. 9.8/10 on IMDB

Legion, based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, is the story of David Haller (Dan Stevens), a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic as a child, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. Now in his early 30s and institutionalized once again, David loses himself in the rhythm of the structured regimen of life in the hospital: breakfast, lunch, dinner, therapy, medications, sleep. David spends the rest of his time in companionable silence alongside his chatterbox friend Lenny (Aubrey Plaza), a fellow patient whose life-long drug and alcohol addiction has done nothing to quell her boundless optimism that her luck is about to change. The pleasant numbness of David's routine is completely upended with the arrival of a beautiful and troubled new patient named Syd (Rachel Keller). Inexplicably drawn to one another, David and Syd share a startling encounter, after which David must confront the shocking possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees may actually be real.

Aubrey Plaza says Legion “is just going to get crazier”

I know nothing about this show. I thought it was DC and didn't know she was in it. This is connected to the big MCU?

I don't think so, I believe it's on the X-Men side.

So Sony, not Disney Marvel?

That would be my guess, but I don't actually know.

This show is sooooooooooo weird. It's good, and the end of the episode was crazy. I love how fluidly they make the crazy with the real.

Just watched the first 2 episodes. Very strange but I'm intrigued enough to keep watching. First episode was super confusing because it was hard to tell what was real and what was a memory and what the timeline was. Second episode had a little of that but not as much and was much easier to follow.

This show is just so damn cool. Every episode has some unique piece of cinematography and style. Episode four was strange and amazing

Watching the pilot now. It's so stylized, I think it all looks awesome. So far I'm not confused like I've heard others say about the pilot, but I'm not very far into it.

Thomas Middleditch from silicon valley is great in this.

Yes.
I understand now why people called 101 confusing. This show isn't connected to any other Marvel properties, so is this the first batch of mutants? In the X-Men movies normal people were aware of mutants, but I'm getting the feeling from the show that most people don't even know mutants exist

Aubrey Plaza killed off in the pilot?! I imagine her ghost will live on in his head?

Just starting 102 now. For those that didn't know, this show has the same showrunner as Fargo and Sidney from Legion is the niece/sister from s02 Fargo that was taken into the woods. I think the head lady of this secret mutant place is also the grandma from Fargo s02

I need to finish 102... I've started and stopped it 3 different times. Not because I wasn't interested, but because life got in the way. I'll finish it tonight while Jocelyn is at Beauty and the Beast and probably watch 103. Unless.....we play video games.

I'm behind on this by a few episodes too. And I heard a spoiler today that I wish I had learned through the show. Maybe it's well known by friggin' nerds but it wasn't something I knew.
