Podcast said there is a mid credit scene on the finale. I'll have to go back and catch that.

There was and I'm not sure what to think about it. Just adds in a new twist/problem to the beginning of the next season.

Did you know it was going to happen? Why else why wouldn't you stop the episode?!

Oh my gosh. That was pretty substantial as far as mid-credit sequences go. Usually they are just a joke or tease.

Watching the credits made me think of something I liked in the last episode. When it opened and was showing the "villains" vitals on the monitor, it had the same green and purple rectangles from the credits. I can't talk enough about that opening sequence. It was so strong! I really liked them humanizing the faceless (HEY OY!) government agency by focusing on that guy's recovery.

I didn't but I thought maybe they would talk about the next season in the same way they usually do a "Next week on Legion..."

Podcast said this chalkboard stuff was basically scene for scene of the X-Men cartoon from when Professor X beat the Shadow King. Do you remember that episode? I thought you watched them all a year ago or so. I'll have to find it on youtube later if I remember.

I have mixed feelings about this. I like that Legion was an X-Men show without actually being about the X-Men

I'll still watch but I don't really want a total change in the feel of the show. I like that it had it's own identity that wasn't the same as xmen.

Given how good the feel was season one, I don't think we will be disappointed

Tim and I binged the entire season in the last 24 hours. I LOVED it.
First off, I'm a huge Xmen fan. The movies are one of my favorite movie series and the whole concept really pumps me up.
I really liked the cinematography and the artistic scenes as far as musical/ dance numbers, the silent scene, and the chalk board scene. I also love how The X-men universe is "futuristic" but the style of the show was very 70s. It was super cool.
The content was amazing. I love how they tied in mental illness with mutation. The whole concept was a giant metaphor and another thing I really love about the Xmen universe. As a viewer/reader we see the Xmen as superheroes but in their world they are outcasts and isolated and feared by society. Similar to how our societal world views people with mental illness-especially illnesses like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.

Overall I was a huge fan of the show. I will definitely watch next season-probably will watch season 1 again before season two. I all like it enough that I would consider watching them slower and saying more about each episode.
Tyler I would love to listen to the podcast you talk about.

Good post Kathryn, I like it for the same reasons you did. The nontraditional aspects of the show are what made it so great.

This is a different formant than normal because they have a 3rd host, but you'll get the idea. You can download it on your podcast app too.

You should check out Fargo on FX. Not really anything like Legion, but they have the same showrunner/writer.
