Might as well make her character even more unbearable.

Highest-rated Tuesday entertainment show in 18-49 in 6 years, all networks. - Best 18-49 rating for ABC in the 8-9 Tuesday spot since Nov. 2009 - More viewers than its 1997 series finale (18.2M vs. 16.6M)

I watched...it was what you would expect. The ones that kept acting are good, the others, are ok. Roseanne on the other hand was horrible...yikes. The opening segment should of never been shown in the commercials, should of left the whole "Dan's alive" thing to first time viewing. Did find it interesting that they mention Dan/Roseanne's fourth kid, but never mentioned the kid that Jackie had...

Over all, I guess I was disappointed (I really enjoy the first four seasons of the show), but I'll watch the other four episodes. If it comes back for a second season, not so sure...

Was just going to post this. What an idiot. I feel bad for the cast and crew, not for her

There is a reason she's been irrelevant for 20+ years

Glad it got cancelled.

Were the ratings still high like the premiere was?

Premiere was 18.4 million. Season gradually got to 10.5 million

In its prime the show was doing 40 million. Just for a comparison, Big Bang Theory gets around 11-15 today

Also, Episodes from the original nine-season run of “Roseanne” have been pulled from Viacom-owned cable channels Paramount Network, TV Land, and CMT, beginning tomorrow

Lol, I just saw an article saying that her excuse is that she was tweeting while on Ambien at 2 in the morning.

Didn't know that Ambien made you a racist. They should really put that on their commercials.

ABC may consider putting ‘Roseanne’ costars on new show

My favorite suggestion is replace Roseanne with Danny DeVito and pretend nothing was different.

Ambien tweeted at her that it does NOT, in fact, make you racist.

That is great!

I like the idea of finding a new project for the cast/crew, but I don't see that happening. There are hundreds of shows trying to make it to network every year, what are the chances they can shoehorn an entire production into a new show and have it turn out well?

‘Roseanne’ Spinoff ‘The Conners’ Picked Up By ABC With No Roseanne Barr Involvement

It’s official: ABC has given a 10-episode series order to The Conners (working title), a spinoff of Roseanne, for fall 2018. The spinoff will take over the Tuesday 8 PM slot on the ABC schedule that was vacated when Roseanne was suddenly canceled following a controversial tweet by star and executive producer Roseanne Barr. (Roseanne‘s order had been for 13 episodes.)

Barr will have no financial or creative involvement in the new series after reaching a settlement with series producer Tom Werner. The Conners will feature the rest of the Roseanne revival cast, John Goodman (“Dan”), Laurie Metcalf (“Jackie”), Sara Gilbert (“Darlene”), Lecy Goranson (“Becky”) and Michael Fishman (“D.J.”), who will reprise their Conner characters.

It is unclear how exactly Barr’s character will be written off but ABC describes it as “a sudden turn of events.”
