Just watch it. The show isn't even half way done for the season. Watch now while the show is consuming all pop culture and then play the game during the 18-24 month break.
SPOILERS responding to Wags's post.
It's fun seeing Joel start to open up and become a little more caring toward Ellie.
-----I agree. A small minority were upset that ep3 didn't have much Joel/Ellie because they didnt think there would be enough time to build the relationship this season, but they are wrong. Ep3 had plenty of relationship scenes and e04 continues to show you can do a lot to show their bounding in such little ways...like Joel laughing at a joke. Probably the first time he's laughed in years.
Sucks that every post-apocalyptic survivor group is instantly a threat at all times. I get being cautious toward "outsiders" but they literally wanted to instantly murder Joel and Ellie rather than see why they are there.
-----Yep. I get wanting to protect yourself, but there is protecting and then there is being on the offensive just to kill/loot. I also thought it was a little cringe when the new lady boss said "What if Henry got a radio. They have to be working with Henry. Search the whole city and kill them!" Talk about jumping to conclusions.
Good observation (and foreshadowing) about Joel's hearing by Ellie.
--Oh yeah, You knew they were going to get jumped that night because of Ellie calling out his hearing
Sort of a predictable "cliffhanger" ending but I'm not mad about it.
---Nice little 2 episode Kansas City arc.
