I think the show was overlooked and not properly marketed because it is in a foreign language. Really seems like something up Wilkins alley.
quick Wikipedia synopsis:
Father Vergara is an exorcist and ex-convict residing in the small Spanish town of Pedraza, attempting to move on from a troubled past. However, paranormal phenomena start taking place in the town and he will need the help of Paco, the mayor, and Elena, the town's veterinarian, to figure out a mystery seemingly related to a coin he owns, which might be one of the thirty pieces of silver paid to Judas Iscariot for betraying Jesus and handing him over to the Romans. The three will find themselves caught in the middle of a conspiracy involving the Holy See itself and threatening the world as we know it.
Just to give potential viewers a taste of what they are in for.
The first episode starts with a cow giving birth to a human baby. The vet, Elena, shows the video of the birth to the Mayor, Paco. Paco wanting to improve the village's image and maintain his political standing before elections hides the video from the public and tries to figure out what is going on. He shows the video to Father Vergara who claims the video is hoax. The three are now trying to solve who and why someone would go through this elaborate hoax. After following some leads, Elena goes to check on the people caring for the baby only to find it has grown to nearly adult sized in a matter of days.
Giving some thoughts on the episode. I got some Stephen King's The Dark Tower vibes especially from the mother/baby plot line in this episode. It really reminds me of Mia/Mordred.
