I've been hearing a lot about this show on podcasts. I won't watch it, but it sounds interesting and everyone says s02 is amazing

This might be one of the most well put together shows in a long time. It's essentially a deviation of history where the soviets land on the moon first, but instead of in the history timeline where the americans landed first, driving the soviets to stop their space exploration programs, this prompts the US and Soviet Union to compete in a space arms race.

Epsiode 1 was almost a movie. The rest of the season 1 goes through the remaining decade of getting on the moon and what happens next.

This show is absolutely fantastic.

To add: I think my favorite part, is that while a lot of these shows deviate drastically, this is very grounded in reality. The world remains relatively unchanged, aside from space. They do a really good job of incorporating other earth/political events into the space program, as opposed to this one event having a butterfly event on the rest of the planet.

Baldmove got on this show late, but have been gushing over it all summer.

I think it maybe butterfly effects more? But not anything like Man in the High Castle

I'm on S02E06 and it's deviating more, but only in space. Political landscape on Earth is pretty untouched. They do a cool job on using actual news clips to move the plot along sometimes.

I'll probably check this out next. Baldmove gave it best show of 2021 and their best actor/actress wins also came from this show.

This is on my watch list for sure. Won't happen before s03 comes out though. June is crazy for TV returning.
