I just kept laughing because the old man 'lost his marbles' and that metaphor was too on the nose for me.
I had a feeling the partnering up would go that way

Do you feel bad for cheating the old man? Yes, but barely. He wasn't going to make it beyond this round anyways.
Edit: it was all a ruse!

The marble necklace switcheroo was really stupid. How did that guy fall for it? He thought wearing them around his neck was safer? And he believed the tie breaker nonsense.

The Glass bridge game is basically that tile bridge level in Fall Guys.

Why the red hair?

Is this the return of the king? I feel like there have been 7 endings this episode already

They left it open for a 2nd season, even though we don't really need one, but sure, I'll watch. They threw in a twist at the end that I thought was pretty unnecessary and sort of ruined some of the earlier story. Worth a watch for anyone who needs a bit of gratuitous violence with a low effort bit of social commentary.

If you ALREADY watched it, watch Alice in Borderlands, Escape Room 1 and 2, Or the original Battle Royale (but that shit is over the top violent and is more along hunger games, but really its all the same).

I finished Alice in Borderlands over the weekend and I definitely get the comparison. I haven't checked out those other ones though.

This show is still occupying brain space for me.

I figured it would be revealed that the squid games are just for rich people to watch, stories like this always are, but I wish they did more with that. These rich people are making million dollar side bets but the game is worth billions. They didn't really explain where the money is coming from. Would have been cool to see a scene of white collared people around the world watching the games, not just the 5 VIPs that are invited to the finale.

I feel like an early synopsis I read for this show was a "reality game show to the death" but we just saw the games now the show part.

Also, a lot of time was spent with the worker politics, missing brother, and cop. That was exciting at times, but it never really led anywhere.

Yeah, I was thinking about some of this stuff too. The way they ended it, I'm wondering if they'll explore a lot of this in a 2nd season.

Pretty much agree that i wanted to see more of the VIPs side of it. Also i think referring to your side bet Glass, we cant know the currency each guess is referring to. Id assume they were more valuable than what was given.

I also watched the dubbed so i could binge the series in one day while watching a sick kid.

True. True. The VIPs could be talking millions of USD I guess. Rewatch in subs and see if it has a dollar sign.

I seem to remember that the VIPs were all natively speaking English it wasn't dubbed, is that correct? And most had American accents.

Yeah, since they had masks on, the only way to know if they were dubbed or not would be to watch the Korean version and see if they speak English in that

That could be. It seemed to me like the words actually matched up with their mouths.
