The Night Eats the World

Postby Blue Jackets » Fri Jun 22, 2018 6:36 am

The morning after a party, a young man wakes up to find Paris invaded by zombies.

Imagine 28 Days Later without the action, The Walking Dead without the ensemble cast or [Rec] without the video camera and white-knuckle suspense, and you’ll get an inkling of what goes on in The Night Eats the World (La Nuit a devore le monde).

A minimalist art house zombie movie set almost entirely inside a Paris apartment building,

The Night Eats the World

This movie was okay. This wasn't so much about zombies as it was about what happens to a person when they are put into isolation for a very long time and how they spin into madness, without even realizing it.

They did some cool things with it, but this was in no way groundbreaking. However, this might be the truest recreation of "I am Legend" so far. This is a joke because that's not what its trying to be, but it's honestly the closest to the book any of them have to, and this one doesn't even have vampires so...

I didn't realize this was already out. Probably won't check it out after your review of it.

I would probably give this a 6.5 or 7/10. Like I said, it was just okay. It's a short movie, so it not a huge investment, and you can tell the actor isn't trained very well, but he still did a great job. He does interesting scenes of how to stay busy and I appreciated those way more than the zombies.
