Just saw it. It was decent. I had had a few drinks beforehand but I don't think it affected my opinion. Not a must see though. Doesn't look like Leo will be getting an Oscar for this one either.

Went yesterday at the Alamo in Kansas City, first experience at a theatre with in-seat service during the movie. Found it to be distracting at times but nice when it came time for drinks refills.

But theatre aside, I really enjoyed the movie and the 'feeling' they created for it. I know music was a critique because of the modern style but agree with those who understand it was to appeal today's audience, it was very effective

Is this film worth watching? And suggestions read the book before or anything? Considering i know nothing about the storyline

Idk I'd say it's worth a watch. I haven't read the book though so no comments on that. I don't think the music brings it down. It's in the style of moulin rouge if you've ever seen that. I think the same guy did both movies?

Cant say i have seen moulin rouge, if thats anything to go by, that doesn't sound like my cup of tea, so i might give it a miss
