Christopher Nolan to Crash $5M Vintage Plane in New WWII Film?

Warner Bros. has reportedly shelled out USD$5 million for a vintage World War II aircraft for filmmaker Christopher Nolan to use during the shooting of his upcoming movie Dunkirk, according to Indie Revolver. It’s also been alleged that, when the production is done with it, it will apparently be crashed.

Nolan loves his Hardy.

Also seems just as likely that the plane won't be crashed.

So "Harry Styles" is in this movie and he is from one direction. Can we all just take a moment and relish in the absurdity of his name?

This does look really good. I'm excited for this to come out! I could see this being a top summer movie- war history movies draw a wide audience.

I saw a new trailer for this before Wonder Woman. This film looks great. I'm sure it will be one of the best reviewed of the summer, but not strongest box office.

PSA: A warning about Dunkirk [No Spoilers]
It was VERY loud. Too loud in fact. It might be the loudest movie I've ever seen.
I don't mean like a gun shot here or an explosion there, I mean sustained loud noises for minutes at a time. For large sections of the movie the soundtrack and the effects merge in this cacophony of noise and it becomes difficult to differentiate between any of the sounds. On a number of occasions it actually distracted me from what was taking place on screen.
If you have trouble with prolonged loud noises you might consider waiting to see this until you can control the volume.
This is really unfortunate since I thought the movie was great otherwise. I've been a fan of Nolan's for a while now but man I wish the guy would allow more space in his sound mixes.
