Movie Meetup

I wanted to sticky a thread with the rules and previous month's genre/category along with the winner.

Movie Meetup is an organized viewing of a voted upon monthly movie. The selected member picks a genre (eg. comedy) or category (eg. favorite guilty pleasure movie). The forum members nominate their movie and the users vote on movie to watch as a community.

First Monday of the month - Monthly member creates thread "Month (genre) - Movie Meetup"
2nd Monday - members nominate their movie
3rd Monday - vote
Thursday - count votes - update thread title with winning movie
Friday-Sunday - watch and discuss

July - Itscsalvo (ridiculous comedy) - Mystery Men, Blazing Saddles, Life of Brian, Let's Be Cops, Wet Hot Amerian Summer, Stuck on You, Tucker and Dale vs Evil
August - Dannyfanny (non-princess animated) - Ghost in the Shell, Grave of the Fireflies, An American Tail, FernGully: The Last Rainforest, Willy the Sparrow, Beavis and Butthead Do America, Southpark, Cowboy Bebop the Movie
September - cwilkins88 (time traviel) - Primer, Triangle, Butterfly Effect, The Infinite Man
October - Meg (sports) - Little Big League, Sandlot 2, Slap Shot, Meru, Raging Bull, Miracle
November - Wags (zombie) - Wyrmwood, Fido, Evil Dead (2013), Dawn of the Dead (original)
December - Jocelyn
January - Bmyoungs
February - Sarah

Another suggestion. Each person does their birthday month. I wonder what the spacing on that would be.

4 months seems about right before someone ruins this for everyone. You already tried pretty hard with Ghost in the Shell.

Maybe we can keep it going but turn it into "Tyler's Movie Review" where we vote on a movie and only you watch it and report back.
