Rey is?!
Also, Carrie Fisher had all of her scenes finished in this movie. It's episode 9 that will need to address her passing in some way, unles 8 has her being killed off.

So far, the studio has only confirmed they will not implement the controversial digital effects from Rogue One to recreate the late Fisher’s likeness, so just about everything (including recasting) remains on the table.
I can't imagine how they could pull of a recasting of a character as iconic as Princess Leia.

Would be nice if the marketing departments of films/tv worked more with the creators

Meg thought I was crazy when I panicked and quickly turned off the TV during halftime of the Vikings game when this came on.
