I kind of wanted to see Chips and Belko, but after seeing how low they are on your list I think I'll pass.

Pretty high praise for WW! I really liked 75% of it, but some stuff with Ares and the plot kept me from putting it up higher.

Chips has a few laughs, but the movie never slows down so you can digest what is going on. Plus, its a mockery of the original show. I get you want to update the material but man, it was messed up what Dax did.

Wilkins is right, the Belko Experiment is gore porn. Its a fun movie to watch if you want mindless killing, it doesn't really dive down into the character's actions and mind set like it should have. This could have been very Stephen King-esque but missed as it rushed to kill people instead of exploring their motivation.

Wonder Woman deserves all the praise it can get. I don't know if its so high on my list because its a great movie or that the DCEU got one right. I know I watched it twice, I loved the chemistry between Pine and Gadot, the story was great, and I looked past some of its faults becaue the set up was great. Keeping Wonder Woman's innocence throught out the discoveries in England was great.

A) I didn't think you even liked WW!
B) Kong is a dumb action movie, but should still be higher than Fist Fight

I liked WW a lot. Just the one scene beginning was kind of dumb. But 15 seconds out of a 2hr+ movie, is pretty good.
Kong was so bad. I hated a lot of it. Fist Fight at least made me laugh.

Quality over quantity. You don't see many movies, but you are picking the best ones to see at least.

Aside from WW and GotG, a lot of the summer movies have been under performing based on profits, but this summer seems to have an usually high number of "fresh" movies.

GotG Vol 2 - 81
Captain Underpants - 85
War of Planet of the Apes - 95
Spider-Man - 92
Baby Driver - 95
The Big Sick - 97
Wonder Woman - 92
Dunkirk - 98
Girls Trip - 88 (no idea what this is but opens this week)
A Ghost Story - 88

I hope to add Baby Driver and Spider-Man to my list this Friday. Next Friday I'm going to see Apes.

From what I can tell from the few commercials I've seen for it, it's an all black actress version of Bridesmaids (or possibly a black female version of The Hangover?)

GotG V2
Wonder Woman
Logan
Get Out
Spider Man: Homecoming
Split
John Wick 2
Kong: Skull Island
Life
Belko Experiment
Fist Fight
xXx: Return of Xander Cage
Chips

Updated my list for the year... I put Spider Man higher than Split because Spidey is more fun and has solid performances by the whole cast where Split is amazing due to James McAvoy's performance.

I would argue that this year's crop of summer blockbusters have been mostly duds. Only a handful have met expectations. Perennial power house animated tent poles like Pixar's Cars 3 and Illumination Entertainment's Dispacible Me 3 have underwhelmed at the box office. Granted, Marvel's GotGv2 and Spider-Man did very well. But other than Wonder Woman and Baby Driver exceeding expectations, the movies that have come out have been awful. Baywatch, The Mummy, Transformers 5 received some of the lowest RT scores ever for movies. Did The Room score better than the Mummy? Such high hopes for this summer only to be dashed on the CGI cash grab that is Hollywood.

50 Shades
It was a huge disappointment. Like I obviously wasn't watching it for the story line.

Yeah, that's what the Honest Trailer made it look like... that this has been the most disappointing book adaptation movie trilogy. The chemistry between Jamie Doornan and Dakota Johnson is horrible. I have yet to watch these movies and I still hope she keeps her clothes on. I can't help to see Jamie as his character from the tv show the Fall, highly recommend if you haven't seen it and like Jamie.

Its incredible. The point I loved the most was they tried to give the kiler's point of view in the show. Too many times you get shows that are one sided, like the detective following him, but I think they did a great job showing how a possible serial killer develops from the clumsy novice to a more refined master of their trade.
