Well the Funk Station is really known as having more of the artsy, lesser-known, indie films and doesn't always buy into the big Hollywood blockbusters so I'm not super surprised by the result.

A bunch of us tried filling the theater, but it looks like Wagner won as the only one to pick GotG and having an empty screen.
This page shows the best possible combo people did

What sellouts! I remember joining FML weeks ago when they were independent and ran by movie lovers.

We've been there since the beginning. I hope they stick to their roots.

I'm surprised Hayes and I ended up so close because we had drastically different picks. If the -2 million dollar still needs to be factored in because of my empty screen he will beat me.

It's really weird. So, I looked on Box Office Mojo or some site, and the dollar amount I have on FML is exact based on the movies I picked, but yours are about 6 million higher than what it has for your movies, without discounting the 2 million for blank theater.

TLDR: I have no idea how they estimate it.

They don't use BoxOfficeMojo.
They use this - http://pro.boxoffice.com/ But you would think it should be the same.

Purple_Hayes was also confused by this, but figured out there are additional scoring rules we didn't realize.

15. Players will earn a bonus $2MM in Box Office total and the associated two Golden Tickets for each screen showing the weekly Best Performer, which is the movie with the highest Box Office per FML Buck.
This week was F8 of Furious (I think), I had the most of those so I got the biggest bonus from that.

16. Players will earn a bonus $5MM in Box Office total and an extra 500 Golden Tickets for each week in which they select the Perfect Lineup, which is the combination of eight screens resulting in the highest possible total Box Office score.
