MoviePass - $9.95/month for unlimited theater movies
Re: MoviePass - $9.95/month for unlimited theater movies
This is the local 7 screen theater. Only 3 screens are options, with 2 of them very limited. I thought there would be no more peak pricing?

If links worked on Tapatalk that'd be so neat!Tyler wrote:Another article about bad news. App was down the other day and before it was done it was offering VERY limited choices.

MoviePass - $9.95/month for unlimited theater movies
The 15th is suppose to be the reversal of a lot of these changes, with the exception of the 3 movies a month plus "many new movies" will be available.

I read that the 15th is when NEW members could get the new rules, but it won't be instant for those that are in a billing cycleBlue Jackets wrote:The 15th is suppose to be the reversal of a lot of these changes, with the exception of the 3 movies a month plus "many new movies" will be available.

Read this morning that people who recently cancelled were auto renewed with the new plan and they aren't able to cancel. Ouch.

I need to look further into this. I cancelled on 7/31 and got a confirmation email that my account would be active until 8/11 but would be deactivated after that without further charges. Now loading the app it shows I'm still on a plan and the next bill date is 9/11. Wtf?!

Uh oh. Being active until 8/11 makes sense since it goes until the end of the bill cycle. That's BS though if it is auto renewing after being cancelled.Erin wrote:I need to look further into this. I just checked our credit card and there was no new charge for another month.
Re: RE: MoviePass - $9.95/month for unlimited theater movies
Meg's did this too. I still logged in and changed the billing info to a prepaid with a couple bucks on it.

That's shady as hell if they are keeping people on after cancelling memberships.

Ah, so that's what the email was about. I still get emails from Moviepass even though we canceled, but I just deleted it rather than reading about more dumb changes.

MoviePass Cuts Film Selections for Subscribers to 6-7 Titles per Day
You can see the week's lineup here. Most of the movies are small indie ones that no one will see
https://moviepass.com/movies/
It does say E-ticketing locations offer all movies, but a majority of theaters do not support that.

Re: MoviePass - $9.95/month for unlimited theater movies
That's pretty sucky. Looks like a theater closeish to my work has eticketing and Friday morning shows. It's not as convenient or as nice as my other Friday theater, but it might do the job.
It's actually the theater that is in the town I use to live in (Ankeny) and we hated going there that we would drive to a different theater every week.

What's bad about it?

Small old aditorium seats. Bad popcorn.wags83 wrote:Tyler wrote:Source of the post It's actually the theater that is in the town I use to live in (Ankeny) and we hated going there that we would drive to a different theater every week.

This was a few years ago, maybe they updated seats. Every theater seems to be updating now.
