I saw 10 of those movies with MoviePass. And will likely see a few more too.

Would be interesting to see what % of total sales they were.

It's hard to say for me if I am seeing more movies because of my pass. I think my work schedule has a much larger impact than the card does. I started seeing movies alone on Fridays when I started my new job, not when I joined MoviePass.

We definitely see more movies. and we spend more on concessions. I used to go in the morning on the weekends (cheaper and flying solo) and not get concessions before moviepass. Now we both go whenever and get popcorn/soda every time.

Agree on spending more on concessions. I wish MoviePass could prove that to theater chains

I would see more movies if I had a movie pass. I wouldn't get more concessions though. Maybe I'll get a drink outside of the dixie cup of water they give you.

I wish this was allowed for all theaters.

There are a couple Landmark theaters around here. I've been to the one in Uptown once or twice but only for free pre-screeners.

MoviePass Ends Standoff With AMC Theatres, Now Covering All Locations
The movie subscription service is no longer excluding 10 AMC locations, including in New York City and Los Angeles.
AMC Theatres, the largest operator of movie theaters in the country, no longer thinks MoviePass, the service offering a movie ticket per day for just $6.95 a month, is bad for business.

Good news for our buddy from Boston that was affected by this.

I figured MoviePass turned off these 10 theaters because they cost so much, not as a way to stick it to AMC.

MoviePass Acquires Moviefone In Move To Lure Subscribers & Increase Ad Revenue
Helios and Matheson Analytics Inc. , the majority owner of MoviePass, has snapped up Moviefone from Verizon’s digital arm Oath in a mixture of undisclosed cash and unregistered equity.

Moviefone, who arguably started the whole notion of advance movie ticket sales with their 777-film phone lines back in the 1990s, is currently an entertainment news portal that also provides showtime information, connecting users to individual chain’s ticket sales pages.

Mark Cubans' Landmark Theatres up for sale
Theory is he made the moviepass deal to pump up attendance and make the theater chain look better.

Pretty much anything they ask is worth the price honestly.

Agreed. The 20 seconds it would take to snap a picture of the stub and upload it would be worth the hassle, especially if you could do it after the movie.

If I remember correctly, this use to be the policy when Movie pass first started.
