A highly rated comedy? Almost unheard of. We will see in theaters, but it won't happen this weekend.

Saw this yesterday. I was lol'ing pretty consistently throughout. The only thing that bothered me was the constant, blatant product placement.

Now I'm going to be on the lookout for it!

I hope we can see this during the week. Been awhile since we saw a good comedy in theaters.

I really liked this movie! So nice to have a comedy that wasn't all crude humor or trying too hard. Jesse Plemmons as the awkward neighbor was one of my favorite parts, his facial expressions alone had me laughing out loud.

Jesse Plemons wins me over more and more with each role. If he's in something it's basically an automatic watch for me now.

Game Night (2018) - Rachel McAdams & Jason Bateman

Really funny movie with a great cast. Easy to recommend this movie since its one of the better comedies of recent memory (unless you count Thor?).

Rachel McAdams is adorable in this movie. Screaming the Pulp Fiction line at the bar while holding the gun. Playing with said gun when she thought it was fake. Taking out all the bad guys and her reaction to one getting sucked up. Bateman is good, but I think McAdams had the best parts of the movie. They have great chemistry as well.

Jesse Plemons was hilarious even though he played his part completely straight. I laughed at almost every line he had.

I loved the ending credits. Very cute and funny. The 3 for 1 chips letter from Tostitos had me laughing just as hard as the best jokes in the movie. That whole exit sequence was packed full of little jokes.

I had to look up the directors since they seemed to be having fun with this movie. All of the tilt shift scenes that made the world look like game pieces. The egg scene that looked like one continuous shot. The camera rotating with the lock
John Francis Daley - the guy from Waiting who doesn't get to talk ever because of Reynolds's character. Also wrote Spiderman Homecoming
Jonathan Goldstein - writer of Spiderman, Horrible Bosses. First real directing gig

I didn't stay long enough to see the post credit scene, but it was "Denzel" flirting with Debbie.

Another notable joke was sliding the money to Chelsea Peretti. It only got funnier every time.

Stolen from Reddit.
Game references throughout each scene. Some might be more of a stretch than others
Jenga: stacking the boxes on the desk to escape the office.
Operation: Rachel McAdams removing the bullet from Jason Bateman.
Hot Potato: played with the fabergé egg.
Mouse Trap: attempting to drop the box on the gunman.
Life: Bateman and McAdams being in the van while talking about kids

Final thoughts: This movie was better than it had any right to be. Really funny and clever but I predict no one will be talking about it after this year...until the sequel comes out.

Oh no, I didn't know there was an after credit scene, we left before that.

Nice, I didn't think about that while watching but that is pretty neat.

How can that possibly be profitable for FritoLay?

Lolzing just thinking about it. Such a funny line and delivery.

And maybe it was just a promo offered by the local grocery and Frito didn't know about it?!?
