Blockers - comedy

Out today. I'll see anything with Cena in it. Somehow at 82% on RT

Three parents try to stop their daughters from having sex on Prom night.

I couldn't believe my eyes yesterday when Crckrjack sent me the RT score. I thought for sure he mocked it up in Paint and I had to go check for myself.

Blockers - comedy

This movie was hilarious. Great jokes all around. Was laughing a lot during it. Some pretty awkward/uncomfortable dialogue but that made it even funnier to me, although i could see it as a turn off to a lot of people. They try to be serious a few times too, which is also a little uncomfortable. Pretty long for a comedy (almost 2h). Not sure why making movies longer and longer is a good thing. Very funny. Would recommend.

You also see a penis, which did not get any gasps in my audience which i found very surprising.

Erin and I saw this last night. It was pretty funny. John Cena is a funny dude. I must have a thing for big, muscly former WWE wrestlers turned actors.

Dang. Forgot that one. Him and Goldberg were in Adam Sandler's Longest Yard. They look identical to me so I was alaways confused

I think he was in one or more of the Expendables movies too.

Also, Dave Bautista. I only really know him from GotG.

This is out on VOD now and we watched at home. Seeing movies at home vs packed theater makes them 75% not as funny. I didn't think this lived up to the 83% crictic score, but can understand the 51% audience.

The movie didn't offend me or anything, I just didn't think all of it was they funny. There were a couple hilarious moments, like the adults trying to decode the Emojis as if it were a Dan Brown puzzle. I actually enjoyed almost all of the jokes with the adults, but most of the kid stuff didn't land for me. I guess I'm old and related to the adults and not the kids?

This fars way short of Game Night as far as 2018 comedies go. I didn't dislike it, but it was just okay.

I don't remember any of the scenes with the kids. John Cena was hilarious and made the movie for me.
