BJ never made a thread for this?
Depicting Ted Kennedy's involvement in the fatal 1969 car accident that claims the life of a young campaign strategist, Mary Jo Kopechne.
Watched this last night. We rented it from the Redbox knockoff at the local grocer in town.
I knew nothing about this event prior to learning about the movie. I couldn't even have told you how many brothers JFK had. Crazy that Ted was the only brother of 4 living at the end and he did something like this. I'm curious how much of this movie is now proven to be fact or if assumptions were made. It seems like the public message was that there was no alcohol involved that night, but the movie shows Ted driving drunk. Also curious if he actually went back down to try to save the girl, his story says that, but we didn't see it happen in the movie in real time, only flash backs.
Movie was good. Reminded me a lot of The Post, but I liked it more than that. Ted is not a good guy.
