The Hunger Games

Postby Tyler » Sat Mar 24, 2012 7:57 am

I was impressed with this movie. I didn't read the books and only knew a little about the franchise from what my girlfriend told me before seeing it. Story was cool, acting was good, and it was pretty bad ass at times. Check it out.

Went to it today. I cried about half the time, so I guess you could say I enjoyed it. A LOT. I'm almost through the third book now, and I can't wait for the rest of the movies already!

What's in your game console?

Postby Tyler » Tue Mar 27, 2012 10:43 am

Discuss a video game that you are playing.

I played the game type "Infected" a week ago for MW3. That is pretty fun. Almost identical to the Halo 3 game type by the same name. Everyone starts with the same gun, and one person becomes infected. The infected only has a knife and something simple. Infected can also run faster. Anyone killed by an infected player becomes infected with them.

Been rocking Fallout New Vegas for a while. Just going back through and picking up achievements that I missed before.

This morning I swiped MW3 from Dan and played through some of the campaign. That'll probably be happening again for a while. At least until my next paycheck. More than that I've been buying Blu-rays for it. So far I have Apollo 13, Dances with Wolves, The Searchers and Casablanca.

I started Skyrim and it's really awesome. I haven't played it much though for fear of never stopping.

It'll have that effect on you. It usually takes me a character or two before I really know how I want to play the game.

Yeah I started it and didn't get into it, then restarted and really liked it. Then suddenly the sun was rising and I realized I needed to sleep a little before work.

I cried within the first 5 minutes and then again halfway through and it kept me on the edge of my seat even though I knew what was coming because I've read the book. I'm annoyed at all the haters who are saying it wasn't like the book. It was pretty damn close, and unless you want to watch a 7 hour movie, it's never going to be exactly like the book.

Saw it tonight with the Huss boys. Not a bad movie after you accept the stupid premise. Although, I didn't like how shaky the camera was a lot of the time.

Right? I think they could have afforded a tripod.

I actually did like it. It's not a groundbreaking story or achievement in filmmaking but it wasn't something to walk out on.

Ah, you're the one who said it. I knew someone else had said that but couldn't remember who it was.
