Abducted in Plain Sight

Documentary on Netflix about a girl being taken by her neighbor....twice. This took place in the 70s and it is very infuriating to watch.

Must have just showed up on Netflix because a lot of people are talking about it now.

Abducted in Plain Sight

Erin and I watched this on Saturday. Such a messed up story. The stalker/pedo guy is obviously horrible but this situation is 100% the fault of the stupid parents who let all of this happen. They kept saying "Oh the guy is so charming and convincing, they didn't stand a chance." I can't imagine any amount of charm would convince me to let my child spend that much time alone with a grown adult I barely know, let along sleep with them.

Yeah. The parents are for sure to blame. Mother in law pointed out they were part of a weird church religious neighborhood. Not excusing their behavior, but that is why they were so weird and didn't report things right away. Didn't want to be judged. They would rather have their daughter missing for weeks than be judged by the church.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Told people she was with her grandmother rather than alerting authorities that their daughter was kidnapped.
