This arrived on VOD so quickly. I watched over the weekend. There are some brutal fight scenes, but the story was pretty straight forward. I will say 20% of this movie was flat out weird, like really weird. Had I known the director was the guy who did The Lighthouse and Witch, I would have been more prepared for the weirdness.

I thought this would be the kind of movie middle aged-older white guys like because Vikings, but this was more arthouse than that. This is the kind of movie my dad would watch because he would think generic action movie, but it was much more than that.

Worth a watch, but be prepared it is really really weird at times. Beautiful movie all around.

Weird = witches. rituals (like 5 of them). acting like dogs.

I also watched over the weekend. I think I messaged you "This movie is weird" while watching it. Not a bad movie, nothing revolutionary. The slight "twist" was fun/depressing. Very artsy for a Viking action movie.
