Gas prices

Postby Tyler » Mon Mar 22, 2021 12:35 pm

Just for fun I compared 2019 and 2020 for what I spent on gas, since I wasn't driving to work and we didn't leave the house much.
2019: 3,464.88
2020: 2,196.83

Cheapest month in 2020 was April. $64 of gas. That would have been the month school went fully online and none of us were leaving the house.
Cheapest of 2019 was more than double that.

April was also the month oil was trading for negative amounts of money.

I don't have a comparison, but I do get roughly 100 more miles per tank with my Camry than I did with my Impala. I also use the cheaper gas in the Camry. With the Impala, I was filling up every week. With the Camry, I can go 1.5-2 weeks before getting gas.

Yes, none of this actually takes into account gas prices changing throughout the year. Great point.
