Thanks for the new router Corey. I think my router was bottlenecking me before

What is upsetting to me is I have lived in places where time warmer has faster internet at same prices we pay, but there was competition. Now since we have no other option of high speed internet we get raped. It's not like we have different cable lines or anything.

That's an illegal monopoly?

Technically we have our phone company as an option, although they have been on strike since October. They cap their speed at 15/1 and its more than twc.

Luckily all of this will change in 10 years when internet finally gets considered as a utility and "broadband" speeds is 30/5

I have a router from like 7 years ago so I think that's the problem lol

75% of internet browsing is at work on computer

at night- it's just checking social media so don't really need the speed

Just referred Awright for Mediacom. We each get $50!
Alex, you probably only need the Prime Plus package, but Ultra is likely only $5-10 more per month and gets you the 999gb cap and 100/10mb speeds

Did you see your refund? It's nice that they split it, $5 over 10 months or something. I've already had to call them about it three times and about not charging me for a modem, smh. Welcome to mediacom!

The guy who did our initial install was hired out I believe but we had an issue with the wall mount and they had to send a mediacom person later...he was way cool and talked with me about how people complain about mediacom a lot to him and it put my complaints in perspective.

I had to call after my first bill to get my modem taken off, so did someone at work with. My tech guy was super nice who helped me set mine up and even helped me with my DirecTV stuff because he use to work for them.

I don't see $5 on this current bill but I am sure it will show up next month, if not I will call them.

Speed test it now!

Paying $75 for 200/20. Actually getting 250/30 according to speedtest. Just called about any promos or lowering my rates. She said I'm still paying under the average for my speeds. Offered 500/30 for $85 or 1000/50 for $99.

Do you have multiple options tho, so you can actually leave them to prove a point?

Yeah, I'll switch to CenturyLink with 25 mbps :liar:

Usually they are pretty good about getting me back on a promo rate but I haven't had to do it in a couple years.
