I did not. I was thinking about doing it today but I didn't get a chance to go to the store yesterday. Might get pushed back to next weekend.

Lame! Tylersucks sent a picture of him brewing today. He's basically an employee of mine.

Went to Northern Brewer today to get ingredients but then didn't have time to actually brew. I got a bunch of samples of hops and other ingredients last week at the Craft Brewers Conference so I'm going to use them in an upcoming brew. It's going to be an IPA loosely based on this recipe: http://boykingbrewhaus.com/2015/11/01/r ... n-clone-2/

I'll hopefully get some time this week/weekend to make it.

So fancy! I went to the Brew store over the weekend but didn't get anything. My dad was looking for wine labels.

I should finish drinking all my home brews and do another batch soon.

Making this now. I always start brewing later than I intend.

It's illegal to brew on a Sunday in Minnesota.

What did the recipe say it should be? Did you brew outside on a propane burner on inside on the stove?

I just did it on the stove because I don't have a propane tank right now and was too lazy to go get one.

Looks like the recipe it's based on came in at 1.068. So pretty close. I used a bit more malt than what it called for so I guess it's right around what I expected. I'm hoping the yeast I used is still good, it's been sitting in my fridge for a few months. I forgot to check it this morning to see if there was any movement, I'll look at lunch.

Have Corey set up a live stream cam for it.

Wow....you probably could have gone to the gas station to swap out a tank and still finished faster than using a stove. Brewing on the propane burner makes me feel more like a man and it's fun to get outside to do it.

Werd, but I don't really have a good place to do it outside at my place currently and I don't have a tank to swap out so I'd just have to buy a new one.

And I checked at lunch. It's fermenting!

Went down to 1.022. I'll check again in a day or two and then transfer to secondary for dry hopping.

Haha oh ok. It's just a gravity reading. The number going down slightly means that it wasn't quite done fermenting when I checked it the first time.

Bottled this last night after about 8 days of dry hopping. Smelled really good. Tasted ok. Should be fairly good once it's carbonated. If I do this one again, I think I won't use so much actual grapefruit juice (maybe none at all) and less of the Carared malt. It's a bit darker than I wanted because of the carared and not too clear because of the grapefruit. Maybe I'll just call it a NE IPA since it's so hazy.
