Turn on Heater or AC thread

Postby Tyler » Fri Oct 03, 2014 5:17 pm

Pretty much every year we have a thread about turning on the heat.

It's the coldest today it's been all fall. 46 degrees but with windchill it's 39. Was just 80 last weekend.
I obviously refuse to turn on the heat this early and just put on a sweatshirt

Speaking of heaters...I am going to get one for the garage this year I think. I would do some fun stuff out there this winter if I didn't freeze. Want a propane one like this. Only $100 and will be more than enough for the garage. Might see if I can snag one on Craig's List before it gets too cold.

We've had ours on when needed already. It's a bit chilly in the house right now but we don't have it on currently. Currently 46 outside.

Waaaat?! You're always the last one to turn it on, and not until you can see your breath in the house

I've gone soft. It actually just kicked in too. I'm not sure what we have it set at.

We have run ours a few times due to the kids getting to cold.

I still haven't taken the ac unit out of or window. It's been pretty cold here though already. Will not be running great until mid November though

I don't think they even have heaters down here. Average lows in winter are in the 40s. Coldest it has ever been is 10. Ever.

My roommate turned it on yesterday but I still slept with the window cracked last night.. Nothing like a little fresh fall air!

My furnace/AC filter is rated for 30 days. It's been 13 months. Whoops

Need to turn on and make sure our heater works today.

I woke up and the register had our apartment temp at 58 yesterday. Closed the windows and broke out a space heater...temp is up to a comfortable 65.

Space heaters have such a power draw, just turn on the heater

We are all such babies this year. Turned the heater off and the house was naturally 74 today.

We are kind of lucky to be on the middle floor between everyone who heats their place early so we stay warm right up to the last second

Made it like 12 days longer this year. House was 65 this morning, little cold for a 2 month old.

Evie needs to either suck it up or get a job to help pay for the heat.
