You get a new phone more often than Corey, and that's saying a lot. Why this time? What happened to Note 5?

Battery life was a main deciding factor. I charged my work phone once every few days. Charged my s6 twice a day

Got my burner phone for running
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/virgin-mobi ... Id=4209400

Using this for free cellular so I can have GPS working for Map My Run
https://ringplus.net/
I got a free phone number and everything. Didn't even enter a credit card...the catch...only 15mb worth of data a month. As long as I open the app while on wifi I should be good? I think it only takes GPS on those apps unless you open them, then it takes data to download the map view.

I opened Google Maps at the store to confirm GPS was working.

Wait, why are you doing that? Why not use your regular phone?

1) My phablet is too big for my pocket when I run and my arms are too small for an arm band
2) I like the idea of dropping a $20 phone vs a $600 one
3) because Slickdeals.

New phone

I've always thought Asus's Zenphone was interesting. 3rd gen just announced. 3 different versions, one of them sporting a 6.8" screen, more than an inch bigger than my Note 4. That is insane!

$500 one has 6gb of RAM and 64gb (up to 256) internal memory + SD card slot.

I dont think these work on Verizon networks?

I didn't realize the ultra had a 6.8" screen. That's way too big. When my phone dies out I will get something with a larger screen though. Probably a Nexus or one of these other low price brands like one plus.

These are cheaper than Nexus and offer better specs, on paper at least.

You're on Verizon? Nexus works on Verizon but these don't, right?

Yeah only reason I'd pay more for the Nexus is longer software support.

Id like to see some more of these high end spec low price phones make it to all us carriers. I'd be willing to go to Att if I had to but not T-Mobile or any prepaid service.

Anyone have thoughts on the OnePlus 3 that's announced in a few weeks? I've never seen one in person, but I like the business model.

If the ordering system is as bad as the rest you will never see one.

I do like these half price high spec phones though

This one is NOT invite only, but you need to order from a VR device if you want to order right away. They will open up normal ordering methods later in the day

Yeah I heard about the vr. It's just always a gimmick with them.
