I gave into peer pressure from Corey and bmyoungs and then pressured Wilkins too. $240 credit for my 3+ year old 2xl is too good to pass. Getting 4a 5g for under $300 after taxes and trade in

I'm enjoying having the fingerprint reader back. I'm noticing zero difference in downgrading to a worse processor from they order 4xl.

Only issue is done weird notification issues like hangouts chats not working. But that seems to be solved for now

Does that mean the 5 has a worse processor than the 4? 5 and 4a 5g have the same.

Mine comes tomorrow

Yes. I have noticed no issues with phone performance, aside from the Snapchat app stuttering once today. I expect that though, the Snapchat app has always been problematic for me regardless of the phone I'm using.

5Guw is quite impressive on the new phone. But too bad it doesn't cover the whole city

My phone goes to black and white mode at night when charging. I previously did the no blue light thing at night, but this is better?

I turned that off. I'll be damned if my phone is going to tell me not to use 100% brightness at night

You paid for all the brightness and colors so you're going to use them all!

After a couple months with my pixel 4a 5g I can say the only benefit I see over the old 2XL is battery life. Camera doesn't seem any better, UI is just as fast when I turned off animations like my old phone had. I guess the lack of chin and forehead are nice too, but not huge

I went from Pixel 3 to 5 and I feel the same. Although the camera is probably better, I can't really tell the difference. I do like the symmetrical bezels and my battery essentially lasts two full days which is fantastic.

The only reasons I've ever replaced a phone are for battery/hardware issues that aren't under warranty any more (except pixel 4xl that was due to face unlock being useless while masked). I'd agree any difference between the 2xl and 4a5g is unnoticed.

Funny though how many people would replace phones when I worked at Verizon simply because the storage was full. Then once I swapped everything over the storage on new phone was full, but they felt better.

Lol. That's funny brad.

I do miss my squeeze to launch Google Assistant terribly. I used that multiple times a day before and still find myself trying to do it.

Swiping up from bottom corners isn't the worst trade off

Nerd. Never heard of this. I'm fine with my traditional battery indicator
