In the middle of it. It is military themed. It covers the story of Beau Bergdahl (spelling could be wrong) and how he was a POW in Pakistan for 5 years. There's a certain fuzziness on how he was treated by the Taliban, and how he got captured in the first place. Since I'm in the middle of this, I have no idea where they're going with the story, so I hope it all makes sense in the end.

TL;DR: Not as good/riveting as the first season. Watch "Making a Murderer" on Netflix instead.

Big news. Yesterday, a judge in Maryland granted a new trial for Adnan Syed. Adnan - who you know from his many phone calls with Sarah Koenig in “Serial” Season 1 - was convicted of killing his ex-gf more than 15 years ago. He‘s now serving a life sentence. Last year, a judge granted him a hearing that would let him present new evidence. That included testimony from someone who had an alibi for him, and an argument that his original lawyer didn’t know what the F she was doing. The judge agreed, and now Adnan gets another day in court. And Sarah Koenig doesn’t have to let it go, let it gooooo.

Hopefully he'll get a lawyer who knows what the F they're doing this time. I haven't followed his story but it sounds super messed up.

I never listened to s02, but s03 sounds interesting. They follow a new case very week in a Cleveland courthouse and expose how the system is broken
