1-Year Carbonite Unlimited Cloud Storage Personal Basic Plan $24 (New Customers)

If I didn't have a monthly datacap I would look into a service like this just for backup backup

I may or may not have bought an 8TB backup drive today. Don't tell Jocelyn. In my defense I am going to use my allowance to pay for it!

Crazy thought. Can you locally backup Google Photos? I have all my locally saved pictures backed up to Google, but all the pictures taken with our phones only have 1 copy now, and that exists on Google Photos. What if Google Photos isn't there in the future?

Edit: This might do it. But it isn't a seamless sync

I'll report back later when the archive is done, but I hope I can find a better method.

Edit2: This seems like a better method if you have Google Photo dumping into Google Drive (which I think I do)

This seems to be the winner. It seems silly that I'm backing up 70GB of Google Drive to a local drive, but I don't want all my eggs in one basket.

$160 for 8TB external drive. This is an insane deal. I got it last month for $180 and was excited for that. It has a $300 internal drive in it that you can put in your computer.

Note: This is a 5400 RPM drive meant for backup/media, not games.

I have no off-site backup for my stuff

If Wilkins and I were smart we would buy drives and back up to each other's houses. Would need to do it at a snail's pace though since we get close to our 2TB monthly limit.
