That's what I assumed. Bummer

I almost never use the google search bar on the bottom of Pixel launcher. I wish there was a way to remove that and gain a row of icons.

Corey wrote:Source of the post I was using Nova until this weekend. I reset my phone because it was getting janky and wanted to give Pixel launcher a chance

Phone working better? Sucks you need to do the watch setup all over again

Nova launcher with a Google Now apk is almost identical to stock Pixel, but better in some ways. Might consider staying with Nova after I get my pixel back.

I feel like the stock apk is going to be more reliable as a backup, so I'll probably never switch. At least not when I'm using a 3yr old phone

Big things for me were getting rid of the huge search bar at the bottom and being able to resize icons and change the padding

Without reading the article, will it show your current speed as well?
Google Maps will now display speed limits for its Android and iOS apps

I have it now and it doesn't do that on Android Auto. I haven't tried on my phone yet though.

Nope. Just speed limit when available. I've seen this both in Android auto and the regular maps app.

Haven't seen that one yet. But I guess that's because I've never driven past a speed camera since that update.

Is anyone else surprised every day at the number of app updates that show up in the play store? It seems like I average 15 updates per day...

Basically every morning I wake up to app updates. Back in the early days of smartphones I was excited about app updates and would read the release notes to see what's new. Now I just ignore them, because like you said, there are too many a day to even keep up with. I don't even feel like I have that many installed apps either.

Same here. I have my phone set to only update automatically when on WiFi and charging so usually it updates apps overnight and I wake up to the "# apps updated" play store notification. Although most of the time I'll tap on the notification and it'll take me to the updates screen and I'll have another batch of updates waiting already!

'Speed camera ahead': Google Maps add photo radar warnings for drivers
March 5th article
Drivers using Google Maps are getting a last-minute warning as they approach some photo radar camera locations.

The feature, which is currently being rolled out by Google, allows users to see speed limits, speed cameras and mobile speed cameras on the map before they leave.

It also gives a verbal warning — an automated voice saying "speed camera ahead" — when drivers are near a fixed speed camera.

Looks like CPT broke another story before the news outlet. I've had it for months now.

Also, 9, 8, 7 app updates the past 3 days.
