Autonomous cars without human drivers will be allowed on California roads starting next year.
The California Department of Motor Vehicles will allow autonomous cars without steering wheels, foot pedals, mirrors, and human drivers behind the wheel to be tested on its roads starting next year.

The state is not changing its prohibition on the testing of autonomous trucks, arguing that a separate rule-making process will be needed to allow for the testing of self-driving vehicles over 10,000 pounds.

This story would be more shocking if Tesla was on schedule. Elon's plan was way to aggressive to begin with

Republican tax plan kills electric vehicle credit
The bill would end the $7,500 personal tax credit at the end of 2017.

Ouch...I bet a lot of Tesla pre-orders will be cancelled if they don't get the $7,500 rebate. I believe the price you saw for the Telsa 3 was assuming you got the credit.

The tax credit was only the first 100,000 vehicles by a manufacturer though right? And weren't there like a half million pre orders.

I thought that's how Tested explained it. It was for the first xxx number it people to own any kind of EV, not just a Tesla and the model 3 would be larger than the eligibility.

My buddy was just saying that he might not get his credit even though he should've now. He pre-ordered two and was banking on being able to sell the second at a profit based on the tax credits.

This is Tesla’s big new all-electric truck – the Tesla Semi
The Tesla Semi will go 0 to 60 mph in just 5 seconds, which is incredibly fast compared to a diesel truck. It can go 0 to 60 mph towing 80,000 lbs, its max tow load, in just 20 seconds. It can go 65 mph up a 5 percent grade, which is way better than the 45 mph max that a diesel competitor can do. And for range, it can go 500 miles at highway speed, and less than 80 percent trips are at 250 miles. It also has a better drag coefficient than a super car thanks to its extremely aerodynamic design.

Tesla unveils the new Roadster
Tesla has unveiled a new Roadster, the new version of its original sports car. It’s the fastest production car ever made, according to Elon Musk, with speeds of just 1.9 seconds for 0 to 60 4.2 seconds for 0 to 100. It can handle a quarter mile in 8.9 seconds.

I'm having a hard time understanding this. Are they saying that most trips are only 250 miles so the 500 mile range is fine? If so, why do they emphasis that "less than 80 percent" are that range? Wouldn't that be a downside if there are more trips that are out of that range? Just a strange way to write it. Reading the rest of the article, I'm not a big fan of the author's writing style.

The single seated semi seems like a weird design.

Roadster is bomb.com and so fast!

Wagner now has me confused too. If I cared enough I would find a different article about it.
