Might be pulling the trigger on this guy soon. Checked some measurements and I believe the 75" will still fit our entertainment center. I did look at OLED but the idea of burn-in risk alone scares me...especially considering the price. I don't want to have to worry about my screen having issues just because of the way I use it.
Damn that's a great deal

Got the tv unboxed and set up need to go buy different mounting screws though since I tossed the extra ones that came with my mount.

Picture quality is 100x better than my tcl. Turns out good hdr is a massive upgrade over fake hdr.

I'll post a pic once I get it mounted

100x?!
What are you comparing? HDR content on Netflix or Disney+? What about "normal" 1080p (*cough* PLex *cough*) or non-HDR 4k (does that even exist I guess?)

Rule #1 - NEVER throw away extra mounting screws. I have used these on numerous occasions, even for things other than mounting TVs/monitors. Extra screws will come in handy often.

lol. I lectured him about this today morning as well. I have at least 4 TV mounts worth of screws saved and 5 monitor mounts.

In all seriousness though I'm happy you are liking your TV. I liked the Q80T but for a 75" model it was priced so much higher than models from Vizio and even Sony. It definitely gets lots of love from the TV reviewing community though.

Yeah it was certainly not the cheapest, if I was looking at 65" the quantum x would have been easy choice. For the 55 though it was only $100 more than the x900h and reviews were better in almost all areas.

It was also the only one I could get shipped to store before the superbowl...

I didn't trust home delivery drivers and figured it would be safer doing in store pick up.

Yeah I always do store pickup with TVs. Unfortunately this time I don't think either of our vehicles will fit the 75" box...so I ordered delivery.

Yes but they get transferred from other stores/warehouses and don't need to be handled as many times, feels safer seven if only slightly.

I had a fridge show up from Best Buy delivery with a huge dent in it last month. That was fun having to wait another 1.5 weeks for a non-dented one after we moved all our stuff out of our fridge freezer...

That is annoying Ethan, but at least they are good for it.

I've had washer, dryer, dishwasher, 75" TV delivered to my house from Best Buy. No problems.

My in-laws have an install horror story with their dishwasher, but that was the contractor BBY hired out, not BBY delivery.

It was left 6-9 inches hanging out (I didn't see it). The contractor said he would be back to fix it. They called and set up another time and he never showed and stopped answering his phone. They hired their own plumber to fix and he said the water and electrical wasn't even hooked up, so they couldn't have used it if they wanted. So they waited a month to get BBY to install and then another couple weeks before they could even use it.

BBY refunded the install.

Friend of mine also had a horror story from a Best Buy contracted installer. Put in a fridge for her and hooked up the water line to the water/ice dispenser incorrectly. It ended up slowly leaking water behind the fridge for a couple weeks and she ended up having massive water damage on her flooring. In the end, she got an entire new kitchen floor out of it for free, but she had to fight like hell for them to admit it was their fault.

Best Buy: Are you sure you didn't pull out the fridge and unhook the ice maker? Can you prove you didn't?

That's brutal. I was home during my dishwasher install and made them run it and check for leaks before leaving to confirm it was installed correctly. My old dishwasher was even installed in a very interesting manner (power was wired to a nearby outlet in our kitchen island as opposed to plugged in to the same outlet as our disposal, I assume because the power cord may have been too short to reach the outlet - they plugged the new dishwasher into the disposal outlet and had to cap the wires from the old unit).
